Country/alternative newcomers The Pretty Wild (comprised of sisters, singers, songwriters and musicians Jill & Julia) have released their debut musical offering with their new single “Xanax & Champagne” today via RECORDS Nashville/Columbia Records. The song brilliantly showcases their one-of-a-kind sound as well as their tight sibling harmonies. It was written by Shane McAnally, Trevor Rosen and Brandy Clark. Alongside the release, the girls have also unveiled the song’s official lyric video, which was directed by Robby Stevens and filmed in Nashville. While their music is country, The Pretty Wild pushes the boundaries and adds in other alternative musical influences, boldly coining the term ‘y’allterntive’ for themselves.

“’Xanax & Champagne’ starts a deeper conversation, in a cheeky and playful way,” says The Pretty Wild. “The song is about a character who at first, looks like she has it all, yet is feeling this lack of fulfillment in life and is searching for happiness. We like to dig into deeper topics with our music and open conversations that aren’t currently being talked about in country music.”
The Pretty Wild’s style, songs, and spirit are very rebellious, and they find empowerment through unfiltered and honest lyrics. Their unique sound has earned them lineup positions at the prestigious Life Is Beautiful Festival, Route 91 Harvest Festival and many other large events in the southwest. Over the last few years, they have opened for many high-profile bands and artists including Kelsea Ballerini, Halsey, Josh Turner, Eric Paslay, Granger Smith, The Ataris, Alien Ant Farm, Metro Station and Story of the Year amongst others, aptly showing the diverse range of their sound.
