Best Selling Author Gabrielle Stone Releases New Book

“The Ridiculous Misadventures of a Single Girl”

Gabrielle Stone recently celebrated the release of her new book “The Ridiculous Misadventures of a Single Girl” by having a red carpet book release party at the beautiful Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills. The book is the sequel to her best-selling “Eat, Pray, #FML,” which chronicled her solo trip to Europe detailing the men she encountered and the situations that resulted while she was there.

As with her first book, Stone pulls no punches. “In love, all is fair game,” is the temperament throughout this book. Stone freely spills the dirt, the juicy, the highs and lows of fun and exhilaration to misery and heart break. Her narrative is so clear and descriptive it is like you are actually there experiencing and taking in every tense moment with her. The liberal use and frequency of pejorative adjectives i.e., cuss words may embarrass some readers as Stone does swear a lot. But the overall dept of her feminine laced adventures will keep the ladies especially glued to the text. After all this book is hot because it is basic girl-talk. Make no bones about it.

The book is chock full of so many subplots and gossipy type situations that it has movie written all over it. Will things follow in that direction? Stone laughs, “I hope so. We are leaning more toward a TV Series. There’re two books so we have a longer story to tell. But we are in the very early stages of starting to pitch and develop that.” What was the writing of these books like with the COVID situation? Stone reflects, “The first book was released in 2019 before all of the COVID stuff and the second book was released this September so that was after COVID. I wrote the second one during COVID.”

Did she make the things that happened in the book happen or did it just manifest that way? Stone flashes that sexy but naughty smile and explains, “I couldn’t have written this better if I tried. I just went to Europe with an open heart and whatever the universe brings my way, that’s what we will do. I wrote it as it was happening and as authentic as possible. I think that’s why people resonated with it so much.”

What is the difference between the American men and the European men she encountered in Europe? Stone gets a kick out of this question as her entire demeanor lights up. She quips, “The men I ended up meeting on the trip were mostly American. There was one from Ireland and the man who broke my heart before Europe was from Argentina. So I don’t think it depended on where they are from.”

What would Stone recommend to a single girl going to Europe or anywhere in the world? Her advice is “I would say do it. Do it solo. Go and have an adventure because it’s worth it. You’re going to meet amazing people and learn so much about yourself when you give yourself that time to really disconnect and be alone. It’s a really beautiful thing how you can go and learn.” Is it scary? Stone dismisses that notion saying, “It’s scary when you get on the plane before you are there. But once you get there and you realize how capable you are and how empowering it is, that all melts away. It’s well worth it.” At the end of the day Gabrielle Stone is definitely that type of lady who can handle herself!
