Founder Dr. Jay Faber
The organization’s namesake founder Dr, Jay Faber, a veteran adult, and children’s psychiatrist explains how all of this began. “It started off around 20 years ago. A legacy friend of mine Dr. Frank H. Ryan, renown plastic surgeon to the stars, created the foundation. He unfortunately passed away in a car accident. When I moved back to California, so many individuals reached out to me and I said let’s make it happen. Let’s do something really special. And so what we did, we started having events like this and we started setting up contests for kids who are interested in the performing arts but yet while experiences with some of the top entertainers in the world. And then secondarily but I think more importantly in between, we teach them life skills to help them make money. So they can develop a leadership skills, the character skills, the personal quality skills so that they can take all that they know from the performing arts and add some other special ingredients so that they can really make it happen for themselves.”

Ewing (the late Larry Hagman) was a handful to say the least, Lucy had her moment too. Tilton served as the host for the Faber Foundation Gala and was gracious at it in every way. Despite dropping out of the spotlight after “Dallas,” she still has manage to stay professionally active with work.

As Ms. Tilton explains, “I took time off to be a single mom and rear my daughter so I’m staring to work again. It’s taken me a long time but I’m back in the saddle again so here we go.” There are lifelong fans who will love Tilton forever. How does that make her feel? She laughs, “Are you kidding? That is amazing, That is a gift for sure.”
