VICTORIA CANAL
SHARES BBC PIANO SESSIONS
FEATURING STRIPPED
VERSIONS OF “SWAN SONG” AND PHOEBE BRIDGERS’ “MOTION SICKNESS”
Rising talent Victoria Canal has shared her new collection BBC Piano Sessions, available now on all streaming platforms. BBC Piano Sessions features a cover of Phoebe Bridgers’ “Motion Sickness” as well as Canal’s own original track “swan song,” hailed by Coldplay’s Chris Martin as “one of the best songs ever written.” The live performances were recorded at London’s iconic 1000+ year old St. Pancras Old Church in September 2022 and first broadcast by Sian Eleri on BBC Radio 1's Chillest Show on October 23, 2022.
Following her 2022 debut
headline tour, and the release of her acclaimed Elegy EP, Victoria is set to play a one-off London
show on Friday February 10th at St. James's Church, Piccadilly
as part of the Piccadilly Piano Festival. She appears alongside Jools Holland
with London Contemporary Voices Choir, Nadine Benjamin and Venetia Iga with
John Haslam.

Canal recently made her
television acting debut in the second series of acclaimed anthology series,
“Little America.” Canal stars in the season’s moving episode, “The Indoor Arm,”
as a Spanish-speaking Salvadorian refugee in the 80s who comes to America to
live with her sister. Inspired by the true stories featured in Epic Magazine,
“Little America'' goes beyond the headlines to look at the funny, romantic,
heartfelt, inspiring and surprising stories of immigrants in America, when
they’re more relevant now than ever. The series is available now on Apple TV+.
Canal also wrote “Bring It On” as the theme song for Apple
TV+ series Best Foot Forward, based on the book by Paralympic
skier Josh Sundquist.
24 year-old singer, songwriter, producer and activist Victoria Canal makes soul-stirring, emotive pop music. Born in Munich, Spanish-American Canal says her international upbringing fostered her love for a nomadic life in music. A proud “third culture kid,” she lived everywhere from Shanghai, Tokyo, Amsterdam, London, and Dubai to Atlanta, New York, and Forth Worth, and is proud of her identity as a queer, disabled, mixed-heritage woman, which fuels much of her activism.
