B-Lovee’s “My Everything” continues to ride an incredible wave, as this
week the Bronx drill star’s breakout hit single has now been certified
Gold by the RIAA.
Easily one of the hottest viral hits of the year, “My Everything” has enjoyed multiple #1s since it’s cultural takeover with its release October 19th during his stint hosting and performing all throughout the east-coast. The track peaked at #4 on Urban Radio chart with his poignant song and captivating video “My Everything,” according to Nielsen SoundScan. Produced by Cash Cobin, “My Everything” built around an iconic sample of Mary J Blige’s “Everything”, has become one of the first true Bronx drill love songs - and its unusual flipped-sample production paired with Lovee’s gritty, drill flow came together to create a compelling, totally unique sounding love song with massively broad appeal.

The Spike Tarantino-directed video for “My Everything” has garnered millions views since its release and held the #6 on Apple Music’s Top 25: New York City chart, #148 on Shazam Top 200 and continued to move on TikTok with a peak 10-15k sounds-per day. In addition, “My Everything” was added to several playlists including Most Necessary and The Plug. The video earned over a million views in its first three weeks on YouTube, making it Lovee’s biggest debut. The song’s momentum led to the release of two new remixes: "A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie," and "G Herbo," both appearing on parts II & III. In addition, with the help of the explosive TikTok movement around the track, “My Everything” propelled B-Lovee to stardom gaining Artist To Watch features from Spotify and Billboard in 2022.
Kicking off his 2023, B-Lovee received his first IHeartRadio Music Award nomination for Best New Hip-Hop Artist. Stay tuned for more from B-Lovee including his new video “Good Night” going live tomorrow 1/18!
"I'm picky about beats; I choose stuff that's rare. If I hear a beat and I
think I heard it before, I will not do it," explains 22-year-old rapper
B-Lovee. "It has to be really good." In a short amount of time, the
product of South Bronx's Andrew Jackson Houses has created songs that tapped
the consciousness of his city and the greater rap community. "People don't
often come over here; we're a ghetto," says Qwayshawn Cannon of Courtlandt
Avenue’s dozen or so project buildings. Growing up, he could see the nearby
Manhattan skyline but admits that he mostly just stuck to his neighborhood.
From a West Indian family, music served as his escape. Nicknamed after the
"Buddy Love" character in the 1988 cult-classic Child’s Play, B says
he would occasionally record but was less interested in posting songs on
Soundcloud or YouTube.
In 2020, that changed with "No Hook," a
hard-nosed video of B-Lovee surrounded by his crew in their gritty Bronx
element. Weeks later, he followed with "No Hook Pt. 2" and cleared
500,000 views independently. By the self-released EP Cortlandt Baby, B-Lovee
stood tall among New York City's emerging class of street rap movers and
shakers. In 2021, he charged ahead with “IYKYK,” which impressed critics, Apple
Music playlists, and HOT 97 alike. "IYKYK" became one of 2021's songs
of summer, achieving 5 million streams in a little over a month. With one song
already on the climb, B-Lovee has doubled down for “Neaky.” After sampling a
Wayne Wonder classic for that anthem, B-Lovee charges into fall with "My
Everything," a drill track that updates Mary J Blige's classic
"Everything." The music video cleared a million views in its first
week out and currently sits at over 4.1 million video views. Newly signed to
RECORDS/Columbia Records, B-Lovee is motivated to build a catalog and a career.
"All I'm on is to keep making records that are bigger than the last."
