Hollywood "Tampa Bay"

This bangin’ track has a hard hip hop funk beat with a  tantalizing groove that immediately grabs your attention. Of course, the Snoop mister injects his ever famously smooth flow with the jiggy vibe. Country soul man Hollywood kicks in his swag vocals ala the late Nate Dogg while Ike Breeze lays bussin’ lyrics as only a rap master could

This single is no joke as it has only been out three days and has already been added to 1,900 playlists while pulling in 100,000 streams across digital platfoms. It is available on all streaming and download platforms. The City of Tampa, Florida has fully embraced it, Radio programmers and Club DJs are hustling to get it on their playlists.

When asked about the local status of the single with a superstar like Snoop Dogg, Breeze lights up saying, “Being a major artist from Tampa, it’s a real big deal to have a real powerhouse like Snoop on the record. There’s never been an artists in Tampa, Florida that ever even had that type of artist on record. Once I started sending it out to the DJs at our most popular clubs here, a lot of them and the radio jocks immediately got behind it and start supporting it. They said it’s got to be a song for the city. They are going to support it because I’m putting it on for the city. It makes Tampa look good and it shows that we have talent that can stand side by side on record with a major artist like Snoop.”

As a successful independent artist with his own indie label, what advice would Breeze give to the younger up and coming artists? He emphatically states, “Number one, you have got to invest in yourself. If you are not going to spend some of your money on your career, you might as well stop doing music. As artists we love our hometown and we love the support we get and we greatly appreciate it. I’m Tampa reared, I’m Tampa made, I love my city.

But sometimes you can make moves in cities where more music things are going on like Hollywood and New York. You’ve got to investigate those avenues and reach out to those artists and their management. I’m living proof that you never know what can happen when they actually hear your music. Maybe you can get a record done with them to elevate your career. Think outside the box and don’t think small.”

Finally, on the subject of death and violence in the rap game, Breeze explains, “When it comes to the state of hip hop, there’s a lot of violence and negativity going on.  Rap beefing? It’s a little strange to me because in most of these cases, everybody on both sides are making some kind of money. What this is all about is to make as much as you can while you can. Give your fans great music and set your family up. What I hope and pray is that whatever this period that we’re going though in hip hop comes to an end.

I don’t feel it’s good for rap music. It makes it harder for you to do shows in certain areas to get your money and it’s taking Black lives. I never been one to be involved in any type rap beef or dissing anybody’s dead homies. I’ve never been into that. I’m about trying to make good music and I respect everybody that’s doing it. I just hope that this thing we are going through ends because we’re losing lives and valuable talent artists who don’t live long enough to give their contributions to this industry and I hope it changes.”

In closing, one can say that the great city of Tampa, Florida now has a hit music anthem!
