CENTRAL CEE ANNOUNCES ‘23’ MIXTAPE

TEASES NEW SINGLE “RETAIL THERAPY”

DROPS TRAPSTAR x 23 MERCH COLLAB WHICH SELLS OUT IN 1 HOUR

PRE-ORDER: https://ada.lnk.to/Cench23

On Thanksgiving Day, West London’s Central Cee whipped up a frenzy, as he announced his forthcoming ‘23’ mixtape, alongside a cryptic artwork and tracklist run-down that reveals the name of his next single “Retail Therapy” - coming soon. Eagle eyed fans will notice track seven has 5 featured artists - an unusual hint from an artist who didn’t have a single feature on their debut project. The artwork also contains an Italian reference to ‘Seven Zoo’ and ‘667’ the french rap crew.

Drawn by Cench himself, the artwork acts as a placeholder for new music, as Cench builds anticipation for his next steps. The news landed alongside a Trapstar x 23 merch collaboration (Cench’s second), which and sold out within an hour flat. A keen fashion head, Cench has also previously dropped a limited run of merch in collaboration with UK Streetwear brand Corteiz, a drop which also sold out in an hour flat.

 Central Cee "Obsessed With You"

Currently breaking globally in a way no UK rapper has done before, Central Cee’s rise has been exponential. He counts two UK Top 10 singles, a further three Top 20s and over 600 million global streams. His first mixtape Wild West is the year’s highest selling UK debut album, and his latest single ‘Obsessed With You’ is a certified viral smash, now certified Silver after peaking at number 4, and remaining within the Top 10 for 17 weeks. But Central Cee is just warming up, with ‘23’ the mixtape now on the horizon.

CC’s independently released debut mixtape Wild West is the highest selling independent album of 2021 and on track to be 2021’s only UK debut album to go Gold. The mixtape landed in the wake of chart scaling singles “Loading” and “Commitment Issues”, breaking internationally. With an international audience share of over 60%, Central Cee is a global talent, with his 2021 UK headline tour selling out in just two minutes.

Earlier this year, Central Cee won Best Male Artist and Breakthrough Artist of The Year at the GRM Awards - accolades which add to his already incredible position as Spotify’s Radar Artist and YouTube’s Artist On The Rise. With co-signs from The Guardian, Pitchfork, NME, Clash, Complex, Crack, Lil Baby, Big Sean, Wizkid, Virgil Abloh and Drake, Central Cee went on to be hand picked to star in Drake’s latest Nike NOCTA Campaign.

In a couple of years where the unexpected has become normal, Central Cee has been making his name heard, displaying a grime-esque flow over melodic, forward-thinking beats. His blend of concise lyricism, layered with introspective thought and social commentary, has given listeners from his area, someone to champion as a new and rising voice in West London’s rap scene. With over half a billion collective streams, Central Cee is impossible to ignore.
