The Zeus Network’s “One Mo Chance”

Red Carpet Premiere Dazzles!

The setting was the beautiful AMC Theater Complex located on the world famous Universal City Walk at Universal Studios. Universal City, California. The celebratory occasion was the red carpet premiere of the upcoming season two of the popular Zeus Network TV show “One Mo Chance.”

"Chance"

The show’s star is actor/comedian/rapper Kamal “Chance” Givens who is looking for love for the second time around amongst a houseful of new ladies all in competition for his hand. The action does get pretty edgy when tempers flair with four letter words being voiced quite extensively including of course, an occasional laying of hands when reason fails.

Following the monster-viral success of the first season, Zeus Network's "One Mo Chance" is back with double the drama this Sunday, September 19 at 8PM ET/5PM PT. Show star Kamal "Chance" Givens thought that he had finally found his happily ever after with the Season 1 winner, Yummy. The love affair was short-lived when she ended up breaking his heart. Now, our favorite bachelor returns ONE MO time with a new group of ladies eager to win his love.

"One Mo Chance" is created, and executive produced by Kamal Givens, with Zeus CEO Lemuel Plummer, Zeus President Jason L. Tolbert, LJ Plummer, Mark Scheibal, Jackie Long, Ray J & Princess Love.

Talk From The Red Carpet:

Rolie Polie Snack Mealz

We got a good idea of what actually went down on the set from cast member Gia AKA Rolie Polie Snack Meals. When asked how crazy it got with a house full of women competing for the same man, she laughs. “It gets extremely crazy but you’ve got to have a good mindset. You gotta have a good want going up in there because if you’re weak, or weak minded, they are going to get your ass up in there and I’m “they.” How did Rolie get the role and what was the process like? She responds, “When I first did season one, I did not audition. There was a little comment section on Instagram. I thought I’m lite, I’m a plus size BMW and I had a show listing and it went from there. And guest what, I’m poppin’ and on the show.

What does the future hold for Rolie? Her rock solid confidence explodes when she exclaims, “I really want to do movies, more reality, and music. I want to do everything because I’m a multi-tasker. I’m multi-talented and I feel like I can make Zeus a lot of money most definitely.”

Jason L. Tolbert President

Jason L. Tolbert President Zeus Network

Jason L. Tolbert is the President of the Zeus Network. We asked what the challenges were to jump start a streaming network. He first clarifies that it all began with founder and CEO Lemuel Plummer. Tolbert then adds, “It’s been a journey. Lemuel set out with a vision. He convinced me on the vision and here we are. The one thing that we learned in this whole thing as cliche as it is, that anything is possible. To tell it for a Black man to say I’m going to start a network, even when he said it to me, his actual family and friend, I’m like I don’t know brother. But he convinced me, and I said OK brother let’s go and here we are on the red carpet.”

Who came up with the concept of the show? Tolbert explains, “It’s a mix between Chance himself and us here at the network. We all sat down and kind of talked through some of the development and came up with something that we thought would work and it did. Zeus has its own target market niche.” Does Zeus feel the squeeze from being wedged in between so many competing networks especially in Los Angeles? Tolbert laughs, “Of course, it’s a battle every day. Have we gotten calls from networks and things like that whom we felt was trying to elbow us, of course! Us being young and Black, we already are having to figure some things out, but we are here to do this.”
