In speaking about the track’s meaning Raissa says, “It’s directed at my own
self-doubt and ambition. Less literal to free — more poetic/metaphorical. Reflecting on
the times where there have been people around me, namely men, who talk out of
their ass — the song is also about the fear of being given up on, but mainly
the fear of giving up on yourself, but it's all expressed with attitude and
sass in the song. It only becomes fully vulnerable in the outro.”
“POLICÍA” follows her June single “FREE” and the release of her debut EP HEROGIRL that
features “SHADES
ON,”
“CROWDED, ” “GO
FAST BABY” and “COLD
FEET.”
