     Every year the select Hollywood elite know that the end of summer has officially arrived when they have received their invitations to Robi Reed’s Annual Sunshine Beyond Summer Celebration. Reed is an Emmy® Award-winning casting director and VP of Talent, Casting, Original Programming for The BET Networks. If that is not enough work in itself, Reed is also the Co-Founder of The Annual Merge Summit in Los Angeles that brings the religious community and Hollywood together for fellowship, education and networking. Reed’s end of summer event with its sub-title “The Day Party With A Purpose” to benefit The Reed For Hope Foundation is in its eleventh year and is anticipated by the “Who’s Who” from a limited guest list of a select, diverse group of over 500 influencers, ranging from Hollywood insiders and business executives to community leaders, close friends and associates, for a fundraiser unlike any other. The affair took place at the beautiful mansion estate of Oscar® winning actor/comic/singer Jamie Foxx.

  The Honorees Reception was hosted by actress Wendy Raquel Robinson (BET's "The Game") and later, actress/model Eva Marcille, who unveiled her new baby bump ("America's Next Top Model"), hosted the Day Party celebration.  DJ Dorian Missick and DJ Jermaine kicked-off the festivities, rocking sounds for the reception, and

 hip-hop legend MC Lyte curated the music for the day party, sending guests to the dance floor to party the afternoon away. A sumptuous menu of delicious healthy food was prepared by celebrity chef Judson Todd Allen.

      Additionally, guests participated in a silent auction and were treated to complimentary Pinkberry yogurt, Robeks smoothies, foot massages, Nike gift bags, and OraQuick in-home rapid HIV test kits, as well as the Love Healthy Lounge brought to you by OraQuick, who were a part of the purpose within the party, where distinguished guests participated in intimate conversations about romantic relationships and discussed topics of sexual behavior and testing together as an affirmation of powerful love.

    Reed recognized honorees at the event, presenting special awards to philanthropists Magic and Cookie Johnson, The Jamie Foxx Foundation, singer Keri Hilson, physician Dr. Rachael Ross (CBS's "The Doctors"), entrepreneur Kimberly Steward (Kess Agency), and NFL player Ndamakong Suh (Detroit Lions).

      What happens when you combine Rap Icon MC Lyte handling the music along with celebrity chef Judson Allen?  It’s a star studded Labor Day Robi Reed’s Sunshine Celebration!  Most know Robi Reed as an incredible Casting Director and Producer.   However, she is also the founder of Reed For Hope Foundation.  Her foundation is incredible.  One of the things I like most is how the foundation provides humanitarian services that improve quality of life globally including drilling water wells, implementing clean and renewable drinking water systems, and providing education about the importance of drinking clean water, all without charge.   I think that’s what we are all here for, to make things a better for humanity.  Robi Reed is a great example of how to use what we have to make the world a better place.
