A festive crowd enjoyed make you move music by the house DJ’s and the decorations brought out the Christmas spirit in everyone.

Stage Before Live Show
Peter Wise Acting Studios is the brainchild of actor, producer, casting director Peter Wise. Having had a successful career as an actor, Wise expanded into being a casting director where he excelled casting major Broadway stage plays in New York. One stand out show he casted was “Smokey Joe’s CafĂ©” which was nominated for seven Tony Awards and a Grammy for “Best Musical Show Album.” Wise has casted for some of the biggest TV shows and films in Hollywood. His acting studio has earned the praises and accolades from his students of which many have gone on to working careers and from directors, writers, producers, movie studios, TV networks and stage.

Peter Wise
When asked about how this Christmas Toy Drive event came about Wise explained; “God has led me on this path to start this toy drive to how we give back. It’s not just about acting and teaching kids how to act, it’s teaching kids how to give back. That’s what we teach, how to develop great men and women in our society and we can do that through acting. My class is not just about acting, it’s about therapy. It’s about digging inside yourself and finding out who you are.”

Dr. Monica Larson
Because he needed expertise on administrating his non-profit 501-C, Wise turned to one of his acting students Dr, Monica Larson who heads the “My Friends House Foundation LA foundation” to serve on his board of directors advise him. Together the idea was born for the Holiday Toy Drive. Dr. Larson observed; “Tonight’s event was a showcase to allow people to understand what we’re doing and what we are working on because we want them to be aware. People know about Peter’s profession as far as being a casting director. He’s been in the business for years and years and years, but what they might not been aware of is that he has this non-profit to benefit marginalized students who might not have the means to go into the performing arts. Our goal was to have this benefit tonight because we wanted to help another organization because it’s all about giving and helping others and we wanted to benefit the “My Friends House LA” and help them. They benefit the homeless and bring toys to the parents who might not have been able to provide a Christmas for their children. We are called to be a blessing to others.”
