Over the Veteran’s Day weekend, Staunch Moderates presented a red-carpet premiere screening of their documentary “Project Peace.” The Gregory T. Simmons, GTS Productions film was followed by a Q&A panel and reception.
The star-studded occasion took place at the beautiful, 5-star, London Hotel on the world-famous Sunset Strip in Hollywood Hills featuring breath-taking views of Los Angeles. The screening was for award consideration for the upcoming Oscar® season. Multi-Academy Award® nominee, actress Diane Ladd was a co-host along with Q&A moderator, radio personality Gary Garver, formerly of the Howard Stern Show. There was even a special guest appearance of the Staunch Moderates mascot DJ Big Foot.

The Staunch Moderates documentary is about the formation of a movement to address the Divide and to strive for national and world peace during the Biden vs. Trump election/pandemic year.

Staunch Moderates is a commonsense philosophy/perspective for U.S. government to set our differences aside and find common middle ground. It’s to evaluate, negotiate, compromise, and decide the most equitable solutions humanly possible. They understand that hardly anything in life is black & white but many shades of grey. There are almost always valid points to both sides of an argument. This is applicable: interpersonally, with family, friends, community, regionally, nationally, and internationally. Their philosophy is to address each other and strangers with thoughtful moderation rather than self-centered extremism that dominates political discourse and significantly effects human behavior. Is it truly necessary for the greater good? What can be done to not act out? They pride themselves not only on domestic membership, but also international. Staunch Moderates are all about addressing the divisiveness in society and striving for both national and world peace.
