The “850 Remix” serves as the follow-up to last week’s “314 Remix” featuring St. Louis’s own Sexyy Red. Prior to Sexyy Red’s remix, the official “415 Remix” featuring Lil Kayla, and the “718 Remix” featuring Kenzo B, were released as follow-ups to the original “Area Codes.” Kali has also stayed quite active promoting the single with a recent interview with “See The Thing Is…” podcast and shot some fun content based on the themes of the song with Cocoa Butter x Buzzfeed. Stay tuned for more exciting releases from Atlanta’s fiercest raptress.

Kali’s had a landmark year with 2022. After the release of her highly acclaimed EP Toxic Chocolate, Kali was admitted into the XXL 2022 Freshman Class. This momentous, career-defining feat was supported by her thrilling freestyle and cypher performances streaming now. She continued her run with the release of the singles “FNF (Freestyle)” and “Wet” with each visual at over a combined 1M views via YouTube. Toxic Chocolate – available now at all DSPs and streaming services – arrived earlier in 2022 amidst both popular and critical acclaim, with Hot New Hip Hop simply declaring her “Rap's Next ‘It’ Girl.” The EP is highlighted by the incendiary singles, “UonU (Feat. Yung Bleu)“ and “Standards,” the latter of which had its exclusive premiere – alongside Kali’s debut interview – on Apple Music’s New Music Daily Radio with Zane Lowe. Kali then increased the power of Toxic Chocolate with the surprise addition of the fan favorite “Chainzzz (Feat. Muni Long)” as well as a revised sequence.

The arrival of Toxic Chocolate was further joined by an electrifying performance of the EP standout, “New Day,” filmed exclusively for UPROXX Sessions and streaming now HEREUPROXX further praised Kali for “her gift for wordplay and her spicy relationship sensibilities,” adding, “(Kali) turns the tables on the f*ckboys of hip-hop, using their manipulative tactics to even the odds and give them a taste of their own medicine.” After raking in over 100 million streams and receiving praise from NylonHIGHSNOBIETYXXL, EssenceComplex, Brooklyn Vegan, Kali is ready to take her career to new heights with a new love, new music, and a new focus. The rapstress followed up the EP with a flurry of singles and freestyles including “Wet” and “Bout U.” Kali kicked off 2023 with her explosive viral hit “Area Codes” which has now spawned several regional remixes. The remixes are a part of Kali’s #ToxicThursday release series and have thus far included New York’s Kenzo B on the “718 Remix” and The Bay Area’s Lil Kayla on the “415 Remix.”

Wielding a wavy flow, irresistible melodies, and inventive dynamics, Luh Tyler animates bouncy anthems with undeniable unpredictability. He switches lanes seamlessly between his signature laidback cadence and airy high register, touting a style all his own. It’s why he’s quietly emerged as a vibrant voice out of his native Tallahassee, FL all before the age of 16. Growing up the youngest of three kids in “a good family, he initially excelled on the basketball court as a point guard before picking up a mic in high school. Inspired by local favorites Wizz Havin, Trapland Pat, L.O.E. Shimmy, and more, he started to upload music of his own. Following “5 On It Freestyle,” he gained traction on Spotify and YouTube with “Jayda Wayda.” Meanwhile, YouTube views on “Law & Order” soared.

DJ Booth touted him as one of “10 Rappers You Should Know Right Now,” and Stereogum christened him, “Best new rapper.” During late 2022, Tyler released “Back Flippin,” the in demand song he teased weeks prior on Tik Tok, which immediately bolstered with support from the likes of Jordan Ross, Chris Brown and Kehlani while Pitchfork declared “…Luh Tyler’s music makes you long for the days when chilling was your only responsibility…his punchlines are boosted by his icy delivery.” Now, he continues to surprise on a series of 2023 singles and his forthcoming debut project.
